NSW 2013 Mobile FabLab Participation

National Science Week (NSW) is a Department of Science and Technolo (DST) initiative aimed at raising awareness of the importance of science in people's everyday lives.

 

NSW 2013 will commence on the 29th July and end on the 3td August 2013 at a number of venues in all the nine

provinces, under the theme "Celebrating scientific areas in which South Africa has a competitive edge".

 

The start of NSW 2013 was marked by the national launch, which included exhibitions at which science councils, industry, higher education institutions and non-governmental

organisations showcased their programmes and projects.

 

The DST, the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA) and the University of Limpopo invited the Mobile FabLab to participate at this exhibition

held at University of Limpopo, Turfloop campus in Mankweng; on the 27th July 2013.

 

This event saw school-going learners, university students, political and traditional leaders, teachers, parents and community members visiting exhibitions, Mobile FabLab included.
